Following successful trials throughout the summer, we are now conducting our planning and DRS completion electronically thanks to an innovative solution developed in-house.
As part of our continuing investment in I.T. to improve service to our customers, we are delighted to announce that we have reached Phase 2 of our tablet rollout.
Throughout the summer, our chargehands have been using mobile-enabled iPad based systems to receive live data for scheduling plus other essential functions such as e-mail and navigation. That scheduling data has been planned electronically for the first time by our Contracts Managers.
The team have also been completing DRS paperwork for customers electronically with signatures being collected on the tablet, similar to the method used by parcel delivery companies.
