Thin Bond Repairs
Thin Bond Repairs can be used for fixing thin surface course cracking due to the pavement movement, repairing broken slab corners and to reform levels between adjacent slabs. Repairing the cracks in concrete, spalled joints and pot holes in concrete carriageways can be a time consuming and costly process. However using modern hot applied materials and dedicated plant, LMS Highways can repair concrete defects, reinstate carriageway regularity, seal water ingress and provide a flexible repair with no need for re-cutting an expansion joint. What is more, all our thin bond repairs are carried out with BBA HAPAS approved materials. The repair is a flush finish and comes in a concrete grey colour.
Deep Concrete Repairs
Localised repairs to carriageway slabs provide several technical issues arising from trying to get a small area of fresh cementitious material to bind to and behave like the larger area of older cementitious material you are placing it in. Add to this the risk of rebar rusting and popping the repair and you can see why previously whole slabs have been replaced rather than repaired. LMS Highways have a BBA HAPAS approved solution incorporating cementitious and hot applied materials that can repair full depth slabs (including below the rebar) to depths in excess of 300mm, yet still be installed and opened to the traffic within 2-3 hours.
Fill & Overband
Suitable for cracks up to 40mm wide and a repair width of up to 200mm, Fill & Overband seals and prevents water ingress while reinstating the surface profile and providing long term skid resistance value (SRV). The treatment is available in both hot applied and cold applied systems with 3-5 years expected life depending on system and is of course fully BBA HAPAS approved.
